PURPOSE: A video display system is provided to reduce cross talk while restricting the generation of a flicker. CONSTITUTION: A video display system comprises a video display part which projects straight polarized light and a shutter glasses(6) which changes a light transmittance state and a light blocking state by turns. Each lens of the shutter glasses comprises a light incident polarizing plate which is placed on the light incident part of the liquid crystal element and a light projecting polarizing plate which is placed on the light projecting part.
