PURPOSE: A method for controlling a washing machine is provided to check the state of a pump filter before performing a washing operation. CONSTITUTION: A water supply is proceeded by a predetermined level(S10,S20). If the water supply is proceeded to the predetermined level, a drainage is performed to a preset time(S14). The state of a pump filter is checked(S16). If an abnormality is detected in the pump filter, a warning message is outputted to the pump filter(S24). The water supply is performed if the abnormality is not detected and a normal washing process is progressed(S22). |
