The invention relates to an intake device (10) of an internal combustion engine, in particular of a motor vehicle having a primary intake line (24) and a secondary intake line (26) for taking in combustion air. The secondary intake line (26) is designed having a shape and/or size compared to the primary intake line (24) such that in normal operation of the internal combustion engine, the passage behavior of the secondary intake line (26) is so low in relation to the passage behavior of the primary intake line (24) that the secondary combustion air taken in via the secondary intake line (26) has a negligible influence on the performance of the internal combustion engine. In the case of sealing of the primary intake line (24), the passage behavior of the secondary intake line (26) is sufficient in order to supply the internal combustion engine with a minimum combustion air mass flow rate required for operation.
