FOOTWEAR HAVING UPPER AND FOOTWEAR SOLE STRUCTURE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide flexibility of a footwear sole structure in a longitudinal direction and in a lateral direction. SOLUTION: The footwear has a plurality of footwear sole elements extending downward from a joint and the footwear sole elements are separated by a plurality of sipes extending upward into the footwear sole structure. The plurality of sipes include the first and the third sipes. the first and second sipes extend in the longitudinal direction of the footwear. The third sipes are the plurality of sipes extending in a lateral direction and substantially linearly between the inside part and the outside part of the footwear. The first parts of the third sipes are located in the anterior area, the second parts of the third sipes are located in the heel area, the first parts of the third sipes extend in a direction not parallel to the direction where the second sipes of the third sipes extend.
