PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wire break repairing device for a wire-cut electric discharge machine in which a wire electrode is moved to the newest worked position of an intersection of a circle of radius drawn making a breaking position as a center and a working route and automatic connection of the wire electrode can be performed. SOLUTION: The wire electrode is moved to the closest point to the braking position 190 of the intersection of the circle of first radius R (R=r: radius of nozzle hole) drawn making the breaking position 190 of the wire electrode 20 as a center and the working route to perform automatic connection. In this case, the intersection closest to the breaking position 190 is made to a first present position 191. Since a distance of the breaking position 190 and the first present position 191 is the radius r of the nozzle hole of nozzles 7a, 18a mounted to upper and lower wire electrode guides, the breaking position 190 is positioned at the outside of an imaginary cylinder 160 that the nozzle hole of the upper nozzle 7a is extended in a traveling direction of the wire electrode 20. Therefore, disturbance is not generated in the flow of a working liquid flow 150 and a rate of success of the automatic connection processing becomes high. COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT
