PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a superior liquid ejection recording head capable of providing a compact and high-resolution image with a high quality in relation to the recording head performing a return printing. SOLUTION: A plurality of ejection ports 1 of a recording head 300 are arranged with a prescribed pitch so that ejection port arrays 21 to 23, 31 to 33 substantially parallel to each other are formed. The ejection port arrays form ejection port array groups with which the ejection ports corresponding with respect to the scanning direction of the recording head are respectively in accord, and a second ejection array group 30 constituted with the ejection port arrays 31 to 33 is adjacent to a first ejection port array group 20 constituted with the ejection port arrays 21 to 23. The two ejection port array groups 20, 30 have the ejection port arrays 21, 31 that respectively eject the same kind of liquid to the arrays adjacent to each other and respective ejection ports of the ejection port arrays that form the ejection port array groups are configured to complement each other with respect to the scanning direction.
