<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an absorptive article smoothly curved along the roundness of a user's body without impairment of the touch to the skin by stably retaining embossed grooves even if the grooves are weakly embossed. <P>SOLUTION: In the absorptive article, a lower layer absorbing element 6 and a slender upper layer absorbing element 9 disposed in the longitudinal direction in a center part in the lateral direction on the use surface side of the lower layer absorbing element 6, are interposed between a liquid-permeable front surface sheet 3 and a liquid-impermeable rear surface sheet 2. The upper layer absorbing element 9 is composed of an upper layer absorber 7 including synthetic fiber and a wrapping sheet 8 made of synthetic fiber nonwoven fabric enclosing the upper layer absorber 7.
