<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a solar simulator capable of high-precision measurement of output characteristics of a solar cell that is rather inferior in the response rate. <P>SOLUTION: The solar simulator includes a flash lamp 103 for radiating the light to the solar cell module, a power supply 101 to supply current to the flash lamp, switches 105a to 105c connected in parallel for supplying current to the flash lamp when they are turned on and suspending current supply to the flash lamp when they are turned off, ballast resistors 106a to 106c provided between the switches and the power supply, and a controller 102 for exerting on-off control for the switches to sequentially change over the switches to be turned on at every predetermined period. The solar simulator thus constituted can prevent thermal breakdown due to temperature rise of semiconductor devices included in the switches and causes the flash lamp 103 to radiate the light by continuously supplying the current thereto for a long period of time. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT</p> |
