PURPOSE: A battery pack is provided to reduce the terminal number of battery protection ICs since a new terminal for the communication of the battery protection IC and a control IC. CONSTITUTION: A battery pack(10) comprises: first and second terminals for external connection(EB+,EB-); a battery(15); a discharge control FET and a charge control FET(13,14) which are serially installed between the battery and the second terminal for external connection; a battery protection IC(11) making the discharge(charge) control FET off when the voltage of the battery is lower than the overdischarge (overcharge) voltage; and a control IC which controls the battery pack and shuts down the battery pack by monitoring the voltage of a second voltage monitor terminal installed at the second terminal for external connection. |
