<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a retractable helicopter landing gear adaptable to different types of geographies and landing requirements and manufacturable merely by slightly modifying an existing single-wheel landing gear at low cost. <P>SOLUTION: This retractable helicopter landing gear (4) includes a suspension structure (10) for supporting one wheel (8). The landing gear is movable between a retreated position where a drag acting on a helicopter (1) is reduced, and a lowered position for landing and takeoff of the helicopter (1). The landing gear (4) further includes a skid (40). The skid (40) is located between the axis of rotation (9) of the wheel (8) and the periphery of the wheel (8) on the diametrically opposite side of the suspension structure (10), and connected to the suspension structure (10) by a connecting device (42) having a torsion bar (43). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
