Melting and casting installation

A melting and casting installation for operation under vacuum is proposed. The wall (15, 16, 17, 18, 19, 20) of the vacuum chamber (1) of the installation is constructed angularly and consists of a fixed and a swing-out part. The swing-out part (15, 16, 18, 19, 20) is articulated on the fixed part (17). A door (18) (mould door) is provided in the swing-out part. The shape of the chamber wall and the articulation pin (21) of the swing-out part are so configured or arranged that, after the swing-out part has been swung out, the objects situated in the interior of the chamber are accessible largely without hindrance. By virtue of the invention, more efficient working with the installation, in particular in and with the chamber, is possible in comparison with the prior art. <IMAGE>
