PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a speaker having satisfactory mountability to a compact acoustic apparatus, a portable phone or the like, and achieving thinness and high sound pressure. SOLUTION: An external shape of the speaker is made rectangular or square. A terminal is connected to a first frame by insert molding. The terminal is provided outside a magnetic circuit. An external form of the first frame is partially lost. The terminal is allowed to project from a sidewall section of the missing lost section so that the terminal is within the outer shape of the speaker, and a lead wire of a voice coil is connected to the projecting protrusion. A second frame is connected to an upper surface of the first frame along a vicinity of the external form of the speaker so that a vibration area of a diaphragm is expanded.
