PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate medication filling work by removing a medication tray from a device body despite a simple and inexpensive constitution. SOLUTION: This medication dispensing device includes: a rack body 28; a tray support base 30 drawably provided to the rack body 28; a medication tray 10 which is removably mounted on the tray support base 30 and can contain a plurality of medications, with their aligned along the drawing direction; an energizing member 31 which energizes the contained medications in the drawing direction, when the medication tray 10 is pushed into the rack body 28 together with the tray support base 30, and which has a counting section counting the quantity, with the medications contained in the medication tray 10 energized and aligned; a personal authentication device 6; an inventory quantity calculation means for calculating the present inventory quantity of the medications on the basis of the counting result by the energizing means 31; and an inventory management means which manages the quantity of dispensed medications or the quantity of returned medications on the basis of personal data and the present inventory quantity of the medications, manages whether the return position or the returned quantity of the medications is appropriate or not on the basis of the dispensing prescriptions and, when it is inappropriate, issues a warning via a warning means.
