PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical scanning device which is compact in constitution and precisely adjusts the posture, in a deflector's swinging-axis falling direction, of the deflector which swings about the swinging axis, to gain an image of high quality; and to provide an image forming apparatus equipped with the optical scanning device. SOLUTION: The optical scanning device includes: a deflector 62 having a deflection face which deflects a laser beam emitted from a light source unit 41; a needle 63 which is connected onto the same axis as the deflector 62 by means of a torsion spring 64; and a fixing part 72 which holds the deflector 62 via a torsion spring 65. In this case, the deflector 62 swings about a swinging axis O, and the laser beam is deflected in a plane, which orthogonally crosses the swinging axis O, to execute scanning. Furthermore, the fixing part 72 is supported by a piezoelectric bimorph 1 which bends and deforms by voltage application, and the posture of the swinging axis O can be changed by means of the bend and deformation of the piezoelectric bimorph 1.
