PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a spindle device allowing easy equipment of a displacement sensor device having a light weight, compact and simple constitution in a spindle head of existing design. SOLUTION: This spindle device includes the displacement sensor device 20 opposed to a quill 303a of a rotary shaft projected to the outside of a housing of the spindle head. The displacement sensor device 20 is constituted of a flexible printed board 22 including a coil forming a conductive part into a spiral shape and surrounding the quill 303a by opposing the spiral surface to the quill 303a.
