PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a towel hanger which can easily hang and remove a towel and can securely prevent the towel from falling off by a simple operation. SOLUTION: The towel hanger is provided with a beam 1, right and left guide bars 2, 2, and holders 4, 4 installed between right and left ends of the beam 1 and the guide bars 2, 2 in a way that they project towards inside. The guide bars 2, 2 are inserted through guide holes 6, 6 of supporting shafts 3, 3 installed on a wall face or a fixed plate along the wall face in a rotatable manner. When the beam 1 is pressed down, the guide bars 2, 2 rotationally move around supporting points 5, 5 of both right and left ends of the beam 1 in a way that the top ends of the guide bars 2, 2 come close to each other and the holders 4, 4 come close or come into contact with the beam 1 to secure the towel hung on the beam 1. Additionally, a frictional force is generated between the guide bars 2, 2 and the sides of the guide holes 6, 6 by the guide bars 2, 2 bending along with the rotational move.
