<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ink composition for an oily ball point pen good in writing feeling, capable of suppressing wearing of a ball seat and sufficient in stability with age in the ink composition for the oily ball point pen. <P>SOLUTION: The ink composition for the oily ball point pen is used, which contains at least a coloring agent, a solvent and a compound having an aromatic ring. Further, the ink composition for the oily ball point pen is used, which is characterized in that the pH of the ink composition for the oily ball point pen is 4-10.
