PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a convenient and effective method for eliminating an effect of a heparin for possibly affecting an immunoassay of a troponin I useful for a diagnosis of a myocardial infarction. SOLUTION: The problem is overcome by implementing the immunoassay of the troponin I in the presence of one or more types of alkali metal ions selected from a group comprising a lithium chloride, a sodium chloride, a potassium chloride, a rubidium chloride or a cesium chloride.
