<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sheet conveying device which can achieve high integrity and accuracy, with respect to a variety of sheets, without causing damages such as a buckling and a folding to the sheets, and to provide an image forming apparatus. <P>SOLUTION: According to the image forming apparatus 18, a control unit 15 selects a thin sheet P so as to send it to a bend-shaped conveying passage 40, and a flapper 23 can be switched so as to convey the sheet P to the selected bend-shaped conveying passage 40. As a result, the damages such as the buckling and the folding of a sheet side end when the thin sheet is conveyed can be prevented, the damages being typical when using a skew conveying roller and the like, and the sheet conveying device 20 which can achieve high integrity and accuracy can be provided without causing damages to the sheet. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT</p> |
