PURPOSE: A linear actuator is provided to reduce manufacturing cost, size and scale. CONSTITUTION: A linear actuator comprises a cylinder body(12), a slide table(14), a cylinder unit(40), a guide unit(16) and a circulating member(94a). The cylinder body comprises a cylinder chamber(30a). The cylinder chamber is communicated with an access port and pressure fluid is introduced into the cylinder chamber. The slide table reciprocates along the axis of the cylinder body. The cylinder unit comprises a piston, which is slidable along the cylinder chamber. The cylinder unit makes the slide table reciprocate under the displacement of the piston. The guide unit comprises a flat guide block, on which a first circulating path is formed.
