<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an encoder for improving in reliability by inhibiting the magnetic powder and binder contained in the encoder from deterioration, and to provide a roller bearing equipped with the encoder. <P>SOLUTION: The encoder 30 is arranged in a roller bearing 10 comprising an outer race 11, an inner race 12 and a plurality of rolling bodies being balls 13 freely rollable in an annular space limited by the outer race 11 and the inner race 12 and held by a retainer 14 in a circular direction with uniform intervals, and a tight sealing device 15 arranged at the opening part of the annular clearance, wherein the magnet material containing ferrite base magnetic powders and thermal plastic resin as a binder is formed in an annular shape, the mean molecular weight in number of the heat plastic resin is constituted to 10,000-18,000. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
