PURPOSE: A drive unit of a camera module is provided to prevent the retardation phenomenon created in the initial driving period of a position sensor portion and the malfunction of the position sensor portion due to the electric field of a coil. CONSTITUTION: A magnetic material is included in a lens housing. A coil(13) is installed in a drive base and placed in the location corresponding to the magnetic material. A position detecting sensor(14) is placed in the outside of the coil and is arranged to escape from the electric field created in the coil.
