PURPOSE: An aqueous polymer composition is provided to ensure the head space VOC content for both of organic carboxylic esters and acetaldehyde less than 10 ppm, preferably less than 5 ppm and to secure low odor and stability. CONSTITUTION: An aqueous polymer composition comprises (a) an aqueous dispersion of one or more emulsion-polymerized adduct polymers including one or more polymerization units of a carboxy ester monomer, (b) one or more carboxylesterase enzymes, (c) a headspace VOC content including one or more mono-alcohols having the formula molecular weight less than 76 in the amount of more than 50 ppm; (d) aldehyde less than 10 ppm; (e) organic carboxyl ester less than 10 ppm of having a normal boiling point of less than 150 °C.
