PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an operation control device of an electronic equipment for an automobile which can shut off input of a detection current by a simple constitution while discriminating a kind of abnormality of load and can further suppress a dark current. SOLUTION: A load abnormality detection circuit 6 includes a NPN type bipolar transistor 61 provided between a branch point D provided on a drive line 8 of the load 7 and a ground-contact point. When an ignition switch is turned OFF, since a drive control part 4 shuts off the bipolar transistor 61, the dark current can be prevented by a more simple constitution than conventional. Further, in the load abnormality detection circuit 6, a signal detection point 65 for outputting a signal reflecting the state of a resistance 62 and the load 7 is provided.
