<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem of a conventional touch panel that includes upper and lower substrates adhered with sealing agent formed in the outer periphery of the lower substrate, and a position detection electrode or an extraction electrode are wired inside the lower substrate, resulting in a wide frame and a small touch area of the touch panel. <P>SOLUTION: A touch panel is provided with: an upper substrate with a transparent electrode film formed on one side; a lower substrate with a transparent electrode film formed on one side; and a frame-shaped flexible wiring board having an X axial position detection electrode and an extraction electrode formed on one main surface, a Y axial position detection electrode and the extraction electrode formed on the opposite main surface, and a heating dissolution type adhesive layer 39 formed in frame-shaped width while being superimposed on the position detection electrodes and the extraction electrodes, wherein external extraction electrodes 36 and 37 are extended to a terminal board 31 projected from a part of the above frame.
