PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To automatically perform operation from fixing of a cylindrical body to storage after cutting, to save man-hours by automation, and to provide improved production capacity by eliminating degradation of the production capacity due to an operator. SOLUTION: A supply mechanism 11 supplies the stocked cylindrical body 100. The cylindrical body 100 rolls over a guide face 13a for supply to be guided to a cutting part 12. A positioning mechanism 14 positions the cylindrical body 100. A gripping mechanism 15 fixes the cylindrical body 100 by gripping the outer circumference of the cylindrical body 100 from both sides with a pair of gripping parts (31, 32). A length measurement mechanism 16 measures the length dimension of the cylindrical body 100. A cylindrical body pass determination part 51 determines if it is passed, required to cut, or failed based on the length dimension of the cylindrical body 100. The object that is determined to be required to cut is cut by a cylindrical body cutting mechanism 17, the one determined to pass is stocked in a passed object stock part 18, and the one determined to fail is stocked in a failed object stock part 19.
