<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce parasitic capacitance and display a high quality image, in an electro-optical device such as a liquid crystal device. <P>SOLUTION: The electro-optical device includes, on a substrate, a first conductive layer (6), and a second conductive layer (400) that is arranged on an upper layer of the first conductive layer via an insulating film (62), and is disposed so as to at least partially overlap the first conductive layer in plan view on the substrate.
