PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an intercom device with which an inspection worker can inform a resident that the intercom device is under inspection by using an entrance slave unit, and no false alarm is issued even if the inspection worker operates the intercom device improperly. SOLUTION: The intercom device includes an entrance slave unit which is used by a visitor to call and converse with the resident, and a living room master unit which is connected with the entrance slave unit and used by the resident to respond the call from the visitor and converse with the visitor, wherein the entrance slave unit is equipped with an inspection signal transmission means for transmitting an inspection signal to the living room master unit in order to start inspection of the intercom device, and the living room master unit is equipped with an informing means for informing start of inspection when the inspection signal is received, an inspection mode transition means for making transition to the inspection mode, and a master unit control means for performing control to discard received signals other than a recovery signal transmitted from the entrance slave unit when transition is made to the inspection mode.
