The invention proposes a method intended for receiving communications, information, data, messages and signals, for example distress signals, preferably from or in outer space. The essence of the method consists in that radioactive material is used and access to said radioactive material is ensured for material objects in the surrounding space which initiate nuclear reactions, wherein the parameters characterizing the flow rate in such a body of nuclear reactions are measured and recorded whilst eliminating the information component from the dynamics of the changes in said parameters. The implementation of the proposed method on the whole makes it possible to increase the susceptibility of the detectors to developments in information content which have associated factors which are capable of initiating reactions for splitting heavy nuclei.
