PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To automatically carry out the centering of a lens for correction in a rest state while achieving simplification and miniaturization of the structure, simplification and facilitation of assembling work, etc. in an image blur correcting device. SOLUTION: The image blur correcting device includes a base, a movable holding member, a supporting mechanism for supporting the movable holding member in such a manner that it can be freely moved, a driving means for driving the movable holding member, a position detecting means, and a return means for returning the movable holding member to a rest position. The driving means includes coils 221 and 231 fixed to the base, and driving magnets 222 and 232 fixed to the movable holding member. The return means includes return magnets 261 and 262 fixed to the base. The position detecting means includes magnetic sensors 271 and 272 fixed to the base. The supporting mechanism includes at least three recessed parts 201i provided to the base, at least three spheres 250 disposed at the recessed parts, and at least three contact surfaces 214 provided to the movable holding member that contact the spheres.
