Recombinant bacteria Cupriavidus metallidurans MSR33 having high resistance to heavy metals, capable of removing chemical species of mercury (II), cadmium and copper in the presence of other heavy metals from contaminated locations, deposited under the access number NRRL B-50299. Product for the bioremediation of environments contaminated with heavy metals, wherein the product comprises a bacterial inoculum of said strain. Process for the obtainment of the product for bioremediation of environments contaminated with heavy metals.
