PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an easy-to-implement technology for detecting the position with high accuracy as well as posture thereof. SOLUTION: A mobile body 10 that moves in a moving field 20 includes an area sensor camera 12 mounted thereon. In the moving field 20, two or more color-changeable light emitters 30 are fixedly installed in proper positions, and their positional relationships are known. The color-changeable light emitters 30 emit light in respective individual color change patterns. The color-changeable light emitters 30a and 30b are identified based on the color change patterns. The area sensor camera 12 captures the two or more color-changeable light emitters 30 to obtain the position thereof in an image. The position and direction of the mobile body can be calculated from the positional relationships. The color-changeable light emitters 30a and 30b are identified by the color change patterns, irrespective of, for example, shape distortion. COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT
