<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a bottleneck from occurring when an information processor connected to an image forming device such as a printer via a USB interface controls an operation part of the printer. <P>SOLUTION: The image forming device is communicatable with the information processor and the operation part via the USB interface, and has a switching means for switching the connection state of a USB device and a USB host via the USB interface. When it is determined that the image forming device is communicatable with the information processor via the USB interface and the information processor can control the operation part, the switching means performs switching from the first connection state where the image forming device as a USB host is connected to the operation part as a USB device to the second connection state where the information processor as a USB host is connected to the operation part as a USB device. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT</p> |
