<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an adhesive for a polarizing plate affording good adhesion in laminating a hydrophobic protective film and a polarizing film. <P>SOLUTION: The adhesive for a polarizing plate consists mainly of a polyvinyl alcohol resin and contains an ethylenic unsaturasted monomer and a polymerization initiator. The protective film is laminated on at least one side surface of the polarizing film via an adhesive layer, wherein the protective film has a contact angle of 20-90° with water at its adhesive surface and the adhesive layer consists mainly of a polyvinyl alcohol resin of 30-70 mol% in degree of saponification. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
