<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a regulating blade obtained by punching a metal plate, the regulating blade being configured to prevent streak on an image by uniformly regulating the layer thickness of developer, and to provide a developing device employing the same. <P>SOLUTION: The regulating blade 4c regulates the layer thickness of developer held on the surface of a developing roller 4a in abutment with the surface of a rotatable developing roller 4a. The regulating blade 4c is obtained by the process of punching a metal plate. A covering layer 4c1 covers the leading edge of the regulating blade 4c and the area of the face of the regulating blade 4c, the area being near the leading edge, and the face being opposite to the abutment surface of the regulating blade, whose abutment surface is disposed in abutment with the surface of the developing roller 4a. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT</p> |
