PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an insulating orientation composition for an organic semiconductor element which anisotropically orients an organic semiconductor molecule with a high level to form an insulating orientation film for the organic semiconductor element capable of displaying an excellent carrier mobility, while realizing high insulating performance. SOLUTION: The insulating orientation composition for the organic semiconductor element has a polyorganosiloxane compound having an optical orientation group, and at least one polymer selected from the group consisting of a polyamic acid and a polyimide. The optical orientation group is preferably a group having a cinnamic-acid structure. The group having the cinnamic-acid structure has a specific phenylacrylic acid structure.
