PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a suction port body for a vacuum cleaner and the vacuum cleaner capable of precisely wiping off an oil stain on a surface to be cleaned, and of cost reduction. SOLUTION: A suction port body for a vacuum cleaner 10 includes: a case 11 for opening a suction port 11a facing a surface to be cleaned; and a rotary brush 19 having a rotary body 20 pivotally supported by the case 11 and a brush part 21 arranged at a peripheral part of a rotary body 20, and freely rotatably arranged in the suction port 11a. The brush part 21 includes: a base material 30 to be mounted on a peripheral surface of the rotary body 20; a number of core threads 31 extending from the base material 30 to a radial direction of the rotary body 20, fixed on the base material 30 at predetermined intervals, and having a tip opening; and a weft 32 intersecting and fixing to each of core threads 31 and having a tip opening.
