PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an engine for a working machine, with less adverse effects on an environment. SOLUTION: This engine for the working machine includes: a combustion chamber 8 sucking and exploding an air-fuel mixture; a piston 4 reciprocating by explosion pressure generated in the combustion chamber 8; a crankshaft 16 linked with the piston 4, converting the reciprocating motion of the piston 4 into rotational motion, and outputting the same; a fuel tank 56 storing ethanol fuel with≥90% of volume composed of ethanol; and a carburetor 100 connected to both the fuel tank 56 and combustion chamber 8, mixing the ethanol fuel into air flowing by the vacuum action of the combustion chamber 8, and generating the air-fuel mixture with≥8.5% of mass occupied by the fuel.
