PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an operation input device for a vehicle, which can reduce waiting time in passage of a large button icon by reducing an overrun in selection of a small button icon. SOLUTION: In the operation input device 1 for a vehicle, a control part 10 identifies an x-axial width Sx and a y-axial width Sy of a currently selected button image 6, and variably sets moving speed V of an instruction position P, when at least the instruction position P passes over the currently selected button image 6, so that a velocity component Vx in the x-axial direction is larger as the identified width Sx is larger and a velocity component Vy in the y-axial direction is larger as the y-axial width Sy is larger.
