<p>PURPOSE: A touch recognition apparatus using an optical signal and a driving method thereof are provided to remove a noise area and reduce an error by multi touch. CONSTITUTION: A touch recognition apparatus detects a plurality of areas, in which an external touch generates on a touch panel, as a plurality of touch points(S10). If the other touch point exists, the touch recognition apparatus determines an an touch point as noise and remove the an touch point(S14,S16). The other touch point hides the an touch point in the horizontal and vertical direction of the an touch point. If the other touch point does not exist, the touch recognition apparatus determines the an touch point as an actual signal(S15).</p> |
