PURPOSE: A cord reel operating structure of upright type vacuum cleaner is provided to conveniently wind a power cord which is drawn out from cord reel. CONSTITUTION: A cord reel operating structure of upright type vacuum cleaner comprises a main body, a cord reel, a cord reel button, and a power transmission member(416). The main body is located on a suction nozzle to rotate. The suction motor generating suction force is formed on the main body. The cord reel is formed on the upside of the suction motor. The power cord, in which the power source is applied, is wound in the cord reel. The cord reel button is located on the top part of the main body to reel the cord. The power transmission member transfers the operating force of the cord reel button to the cord reel.
