PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging apparatus and an imaging program, in which an image can be easily photographed while effectively utilizing performance of the imaging apparatus. SOLUTION: The imaging apparatus includes: a display section 20 for displaying an image picked up by an imaging section 10; a region designation-receiving section 411 for receiving the designation of a region including an object to be imaged; a region calculating section 412 for calculating the position and the size of a region such that in the image of a present frame, a positional relation between a region in the image of a preceding frame imaged by the imaging section 10 and the object to be imaged is kept; and a display control section 414 for displaying on the display section 20 a frame indicating the region in the image of the present frame, the center of the region and the center of the image of the present frame.
