PURPOSE: A quantum dot-sensitized solar cell using photocathode and a method for manufacturing a photocathode are provided to solve decomposition due to the light of a photocathode quantum dot, by providing spontaneous separation and movement route of photons using an electrolyte. CONSTITUTION: A quantum dot-sensitized solar cell using photocathode includes a photocathode(100), a counter electrode(300) and an electrolyte(200). The electrolyte is intervened between the photocathode and the counter electrode. The photocathode includes a transparent conductive electrode(110), a porous hole-transportation semiconductor particle layer(120) and a photo-sensitive quantum dot. The porous hole-transportation semiconductor particle layer is formed on the conductive electrode. The photo-sensitive quantum dot is adjacent to the semiconductor particle layer. Photo electrons and photo holes are generated from the photo-sensitive quantum dot by solar light. The photo electrons move toward the counter electrode through the electrolyte. The photo holes moves toward the conductive electrode through the semiconductor particle layer. |
