There is provided an orthopaedic material comprising a biocompatible material such as titanium and at least one organic LPA receptor agonist compound,the compound comprising at least one inter-carbon double bond, the compound being covalently bound to a surface of the biocompatible material via a carbon in the double bond. There is also provided a method of making such a material.
