PURPOSE: A flat panel display device and a driving method the same are provided to enhance image quality by sensing the deterioration of a pixel and temperature change. CONSTITUTION: In a flat panel display device and a driving method the same, a sensing pattern is included to secure the performance characteristic information of a display panel in generating a sensing image frame. An image is inserted into a unit frame comprised of a certain number of image frame. A driving current supplied to a display panel is detected, when the image data of the sensing frame is supplied. The sensing data is generated based on the detected driving current. Data is generated to correct the image data through interpolation using the sensing data.
