PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image display device in which contents intended by a user can be displayed while being superimposed on a captured image of a real space, without any complicated work.

SOLUTION: An image display device includes: an imaging section 1 for imaging a subject to produce captured image data; a QR code-reading section 5 for reading retrieval condition data representing retrieval conditions of content data from a QR code contained in the captured image data; a content retrieving section 6 for acquiring from a content DB 12 content data meeting the retrieval conditions based on the retrieval condition data read by the QR code-reading section 5; a content combining section 8 for combining the content data acquired by the content retrieving section 6 and the captured image data to produce display image data for combining contents based on the content data with an image based on the captured image data to display the combined content; and a display control section 9 for displaying an image based on the display image data on a display section 10.
