PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus and a program, capable of further improving the determination accuracy of blank sheet detection. SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus (4) preserves the setting value of the blank sheet detection, is capable of determining whether or not an original is a blank sheet, and includes an operation part (28) for setting the setting value related to the output image density of a paper sheet for outputting the information of the original, a threshold updating part (52) capable of reflecting the setting value related to the output image density of the paper sheet on a new blank sheet detection threshold, and a blank sheet detection determination part (54) for determining whether it is the original not having the information but having the ground color only or the ground color original having the information when determining that it is the ground color original on the basis of the new blank sheet detection threshold.
