PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a stacker crane capable of reducing a time loss in transfer, by transferring an article even when a mast is swinging. SOLUTION: This stacker crane 200 includes the mast 210 being a column and a lifting base 220 lifting along the mast 210, and transfers the article by carrying the article placed on the lifting base 220, and includes a moving member 230 for moving the lifting base 220 to the mast 210 in both directions parallel to the swinging direction of swinging the mast 210 when transferring the article, and a control device for moving the lifting base 220 to the moving member 230 so as to restrain swinging in the swinging direction of the lifting base 220 by swinging of the mast 210 when transferring the article.
