PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To securely prevent falling of a tail gate opened upward even with a tail panel deformed by collision, aging, or the like. SOLUTION: A lower hinge for opening the tail gate upward includes a lower hinge shaft 52 provided on a lower end part of the tail gate through a lower bracket, a guide plate 53 which can be engaged with the lower hinge shaft 52, and a hook 54 pivotally supported to the guide plate 53 in a rotatable way to be locked to the lower hinge shaft 51. On the lower bracket, an insertion hole 51a is formed for a hook rotation prohibiting member 7 to be inserted for prohibiting a hook part of the hook 53 from releasing from a position of the tail gate where the lower hinge shaft is locked.
