<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gas turbine engine with a power extraction system that provides high power take-off capacity promptly responding to significant changes in a load demand. <P>SOLUTION: A rear fun step 60 has: a front fan step 52 that is composed to pressurize airflow 1; and a wing end 70 that is composed to pressurize part 3 of a first part of pressurized airflow 2 from the front fan step 52.
